Matematikan lizentziatu nintzen 2013an Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatean. 2013/14 ikasturtean 'Modelizazio eta Ikerketa Matematikoa, Estatistika eta Konputazioa' izeneko unibertsitate arteko masterra egin nuen eta Triporg S.L enpresan praktikak burutzeko aukera izan nuen. Aldi horretan, turista bisitarien ibilbideak optimizatzeko algoritmoak garatzen aritu nintzen eta honi jarraipena emanez María Merinoren zuzendaritzapean Master Amaierako Lanean Orientazio Problema (Orienteering Problem, OP) landu nuen.

2014/15 ikasturtean Magisteritza eskolako irakasle bezala aritu nintzen Matematika eta Zientzia Esperimentalen Sailean. Urte berean BCAMen internship bat hasi nuen Dae-Jin Leeren zuzendaritzapean, mapa dinamikoen bisualizaziorako tresnak garatzen. EAEko trafiko intzidentzien historikoa eta unean-uneko egoera aztertzeko web orrialde batean bildu genuen egindako lana, ikusi [0].

2016an doktoretza ikasketak hasi ditut, maiatzetik Severo Ochoa laguntza bat dut (SEV-2013-0323-01 proiektuko BES-2015-072036 laguntza), Masterrean hasitako Orientazio Problemaren ikerketari berriz helduz José Antonio Lozano eta María Merinoren zuzendaritzapean. Optimizazio konbinatorioko problema hau Saltzaile ibiltariaren problema (Travelling Salesman Problem, TSP) ezagunaren aldaera bat da, helburua ibilbidearen gehienezko luzera errespetatuz bisitatutako herrietan jasotako sarien batura maximizatzea duena.

I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (2013) from the University of the Basque Country. In 2013/14 I studied for a Master's degree in Mathematical Modelling and Research, Statistics and Computing. During that time, I also did an internship with Triporg S.L, where I developed algorithms for the travelling tourist route optimization. By following the same line, I wrote my Master’s thesis on the Orienteering Problem (OP) under the supervision of María Merino.

Throughout the academic year 2014/15 I worked as a lecturer at the Teacher Training College (EHU/UPV), in the Department of Mathematics and Experimental Science. That same year, I started an internship at BCAM under the supervision of Dae-Jin Lee, developing data visualization tools for dynamic maps. The results have been collated in a website which shows traffic incident log and real time situation in the autonomous community of the Basque Country. See [0].

Since May 2016, I am a PhD. student at BCAM and my research is supported by the Severo Ochoa accreditation (SEV-2013-0323-01, grant BES-2015-072036). I am currently working on the Orienteering Problem under the supervision of José Antonio Lozano and María Merino. The OP, a variant of the Travelling Salesman Problem, is a well known NP-hard combinatorial optimization problem. The OP goal is to determine the path that maximizes the sum of the rewards of the visited nodes under distance limitation.
