Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry

Mazarredo, 14. 48009 Bilbao Basque Country - Spain

I work in Singularity Theory and Algebraic Geometry. I am interested in arc spaces, normal surface singularities, geometry of 3-folds, geometry of degenerating families (from a topological, (symplectic) geometric and cohomological viewpoints), intersection cohomology and its variations and in other aspects of geometry and topology of algebraic varieties. Up to now my main results have been answers to conjectures by Massey and Zariski, and together with Maria Pe Pereira, a proof of J. Nash conjecture on Nash problem for surfaces. For other results check arXiv, Zentralblatt or Math Reviews. I hold a ERC consolidator grant from 2014-2019, and there will be some positions available associated with it. If you are interested, please contact me.
