I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in July 2016 at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). During 2016-2018, I did my Master's degree in Statistics and Operations Research (MESIO UPC-UB), a joint programme by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the University of Barcelona. In the 2017-2018 academic year, I was awarded a scholarship of the Spanish Ministry of Education that allowed me to carry out my Master's Thesis within the GRBIO research group under the supervision of Prof. Guadalupe Gómez. The Master's Thesis was motivated by a clinical study and framed on survival analysis, multi-state models. In July 2018, I started working as a research technician at BCAM under the supervision of Dr. Dae-Jin Lee. As a research technician, I collaborated in industrial projects and contributed to solving real-life applications using statistical methods that dealt with different type of data. Since September 2019, I am Severo Ochoa SEV-2017-0718 PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Dae-Jin Lee. The project of my thesis is focused on semi-parametric time-to-event regression techniques for high dimensional complex data with applications to sports injury prevention research.
