Statistical Physics

Mazarredo, 14. 48009 Bilbao Basque Country - Spain

Currently I am a PhD Student at BCAM, under the supervision of Gianni Pagnini. My current resarch topics are level set methods and other numerical recipes for front tracking issues in random environment (combustion, anomalous diffusion, etc.). The main deal of this work will be the coupling of a lagrangian underlying physics ( governed by statistical mechanics) with the macroscopic view useful for computations and engineering purposes. Previously I have been a researcher at Politecnico di Torino for a project funded, among the other institutions, by ESA, ”Numerical simulation of thermal plasmas and their interaction with Electro-magnetic fields for aerospace apllications”. The main aim of this work has been the maintainance and speed-up of a Fortran-based finite volume code that simulate the ionized high-temperature flow surrounding a space ship during atmospherical re-entry.
