My research areas are Dynamic and Stochastic Resource Allocation, Bandit Problems, Markov Decision Processes, Optimization in Graphs and Networks, Applications to Telecommunications and Business Administration. My main research interest is in designing simple and well-performing scheduling and resource allocation solutions to dynamic and stochastic problems, especially those arising in the context of networks.

Short bio:

Peter Jacko is currently a Researcher at BCAM -- Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, Spain. He obtained his Ph.D. in Business Administration and Quantitative Methods (2009) and D.E.A. in Statistics and Operations Research (2006) from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain. He obtained his Mgr. (2003) and Bc. (2002) degrees in Mathematics from the Univerzita P. J. Šafárika v Košiciach, Slovakia.
