Pre-course: for those who need to develop a background, upon request there will be a pre-course Commutative algebra given by Marta Aldasoro (BCAM).

Sessions on 4 and 5 April are preliminary and can be skipped by some.

The topics that will be studied:
1) the Hilbert polynomial of a graded ring
2) associated graded rings, the Hilbert polynomial of an ideal 3) consequence: the Krull height theorem and the main theorem of the dimension theory
