Getting to BCAM

By Plane

Bilbao International Airport (LOIU). 15 km from the city centre, very well connected to the city with bus service to and from the airport.

Airport Bus

Take the bus Bizkaibus A3247 (green and withe bus). The whole journey takes around 20 minutes and a single ticket costs 1,40€.

Airport - Bilbao

Stops: Airport - Alameda Recalde 14 - Plaza Moyúa - Gran Vía 74 - Termibus.

Timetable: During winter, departing from the airport from 6:15 am to 24:00 every 30 minutes and during summer, from 6:20 to 24:00 every 20 minutes.

Bilbao - Airport

Stops: Termibus - Gran Vía 79 - Plaza Moyúa - Alameda Recalde 11 - Airport.

Timetable : During winter, departing from Termibus Bus Station from 5:25 to 21:55h every 30 minutes and during summer, from 5:20 to 22:00 every 20 minutes.

Nearest stops from BCAM in both directions: Alameda Recalde and Plaza Moyúa (within 10 minutes walking distance).

The journey takes around 15 minutes and costs about 20-25€ by taxi.

By Car

From Santander (A8) / Donostia-San Sebastian or Vitoria-Gasteiz (A68 and A8)

from the city bypass motorway, take the Bilbao San Mames exit. At the end of the avenue that enters the city (Avenida Sabino Arana) you will come to a roundabout and large statue of the Sacred Heart. You take the third exit, leaving the park on your right, and follow Avenida Abandoibarra until you find the Melia Hotel on your right. Just after the hotel, turn right and this will lead you to Plaza Euskadi square. In this roundabout, take the third exit, and you will already be in Alameda Mazarredo street. You will find BCAM on your left, in the number 14 of this street.

Parking

BCAM does not have a car parking facility for visitors. However, there is metered street parking available, as well as underground parkings in the nearby: Plaza del Ensanche is the closest one, but Plaza Euskadi is also near BCAM.

By Train

BY TRAIN

RENFE Bilbao-Abando Station

Walk out the railway station and go to Plaza Circular square. Walk through the main street, Gran Vía - Don Diego López de Aro and turn right in Alameda Mazarredo. Walk for 10 minutes along this street and you will find BCAM on the right side, just after Correo Post office.

EUSKOTREN Atxuri Station

Once you get out of the station, take the tram and get off at Uribitarte stop. Go up the stairs between the Isozaki towers and you will get to Alameda Mazarredo street. Turn right, walk for a couple of minutes and you will find BCAM, right after Correo Post office.

FEVE Santander Line, Bilbao Station

Get out of the station, turn left twice leaving the bridge behind you, and go to Plaza Circular square. Walk through the main street Gran Vía - Don Diego López de Aro and turn right in Alameda Mazarredo. Walk for 10 minutes along this street and you will find BCAM, right after Correo Post office.

By Tram

Uribitarte stop

Go up the stairs between the Isozaki towers and you will get to Alameda Mazarredo street. Turn right, walk for a couple of minutes and you will find BCAM, just right after Correo Post office.

By Bus

Termibus

Termibus is the main bus station of Bilbao, located beside San Mames Barria Stadium and linked to the metro, tram and commuter rail station. To reach BCAM once there, you can take the metro and stop in Abando (Berastegi exit) or take the tram and get off at Uribitarte stop.

BARIK Transport Card

Barik is a card that allows the holder to use a wide range of public transport systems (Metro Bilbao, Bizkaibus, Bilbobus, Tram, EuskoTren...) at a lower price.

This pre-paid card costs 3 euros and has to be recharged for use, for amounts starting at 5 euros.

You can buy it at any Metro vending machine, at Bilbobus and Bizkaibus booths and in more than 450 establishments identified by the Barik sign.
