Organization

The Department of Education, Language Policy and Culture of the Basque Government, the University of the Basque Country, Ikerbasque, the Bizkaia Regional Government and Innobasque promoted the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics – BCAM as a non-profit association in 2008.

The center’s main Management Board is the General Assembly, in which all the entities mentioned before are represented. This management board delegates a Steering Committee which ensures the proper daily management of the center.

The scientific strategy is guided by the Scientific Committee, an external, strategic advisory body consisting of renowned international researchers in Applied Mathematics, all of whom are top-flight scientists with extensive experience in the management and evaluation of projects and centers. They provide advice and guidance in different fields and verify the results obtained by BCAM. Currently, the committee is formed by.
