Open Access
Open Access is the immediate, online, free availability of research outputs without restrictions on use commonly imposed by publisher copyright agreements. Open Access includes the outputs that scholars normally give away for free for publication and it includes peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers and datasets of various kinds.
The Basque Center for Applied Mathematics – BCAM joined the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) on May 2016.

Repositories are important tools for preserving an organization's legacy; they facilitate digital preservation and scholarly communication. BIRD is a digital service that collects, preserves, and distributes digital material authored by BCAM members and researchers linked to the center.
