The BCAM Severo Ochoa Strategic Lab on Quantum Mathematics launches with two-day meeting in Bilbao

On 5th and 6th March 2026, the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) hosted a scientific meeting to celebrate the launch of the new "BCAM Severo Ochoa Strategic Lab on Quantum Mathematics". The lab, which officially started its activity in September 2025, is led by researchers Niels Benedikter (University of Milan), Chiara Boccato (University of Pisa), and Jean-Bernard Bru (BCAM and EHU).

The event, held at BCAM Bilbao, focused on recent developments in quantum mathematics, particularly many-body quantum problems and partial differential equations (PDE). The workshop also featured special guests from the Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) in Italy, who presented their latest research alongside other international experts.
