I am a chemical engineer with over 10 years of experience in developing, implementing, and applying multiscale modelling methods and numerical techniques to characterise and design nano and mesostructured materials for energy, separation, catalysis, and consumer product applications. I was awarded the Ramon y Cajal (2023) and the Juan de la Cierva – incorporation (2019) fellowships from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, as well as the HPC-Europa3 grant (2018) by the European Commission.

Information of interest

I am an applied mathematician, and I work in mathematical methods for advance manufacturing under the umbrella of the Artificial Intelligent Manufacturing and Sustainability (AIMS) unit. I collaborate with engineers at the Aeronautics Advanced Manufacturing Center (CFAA, spanish acronym) in Zamudio.

I am interested in monitoring of metal cutting processes, which entails understanding the dynamics of metal cutting and modelling of machine elements performance. To a lower degree I am interested in FEM simulations.

Information of interest

My research is mainly focused in the area of Real and Harmonic Analysis. More recently I have been interested in the deep connection between the operator norm of some of the basic operators from Harmonic Analysis such as the Calderón-Zygmund operators, its commutators or maximal functions with the growth of the Ap constants in different various natural spaces. I am also particularly interested in other deep aspects of the theory such as the extrapolation theory and the Reverse Hölder property of the Ap class of weights.

Information of interest

I am currently an Ikerbasque Research Fellow at BCAM. I have mainly worked on inverse problems arising in the study of partial differential equations. However, my research interests also include mathematical analysis and its applications. My curiosity goes beyond mathematics, in particular, I am interested in the possible relations between the non-equilibrium thermodynamics and biological evolution.

Postdoc Fellow at BCAM. The main methodological research lines include probabilistic graphical models, supervised classification, information theory, density estimation and feature subset selection. The methodological contributions have been applied to the fields of bioinformatics (genetics and epigenetics) and ecological modelling (fisheries).

My scientific interests concern in a wide sense both turbulent dispersion and anomalous diffusion.

For what concerns turbulent mixing, my research activities are devoted to the Lagrangian features of turbulence with applications to environmental problems and turbulent premixed combustion, as well as to fundamental issues. In particular they are focused on the modelling of the absolute and the relative dispersion by means of nonlinear stochastic differential equations and on turbulent reacting flows by including the level-set method.

Information of interest

I am a PhD Student since January 2021 (former Research Technician 07/01/20 - 31/12/20) in the group "Modelling and Simulation in Life and Material Sciences". I obtained the La Caixa - INPhINIT 2020 fellowship joining the project "Optimising performance of Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) in molecular simulation and computational statistics", supervised by Prof. Akhmatskaya (MSLMS group) and Prof. Sanz-Serna (Universidad Carlo III de Madrid).
