The four BERC (Basque Excellence Research Centres) research centres based in Bizkaia — Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience, BC3 – Basque Center for Climate Change, BCAM – Basque Center for Applied Mathematics, and BCMaterials – Basque Center on Materials, Applications and Nanostructures — are organising the second edition of the Be Zientzia science fair on 28 and 29 October at the Ensanche Building, Bilbao City Council.

The fair will feature four scientific “txokos” (workshops), each focusing on the research areas of the participating centres, ranging from neuroscience and climate change to applied mathematics and materials science. Workshops will be held in both Basque and Spanish on both days. Each morning, up to 60 schoolchildren will take part in two sessions, rotating through the four txokos.
